Halfway Home Studio
Privacy
Halfway Home Studio (halfwayhome.studio) runs this site, SELIA's links page and seliaelira.com. Questions, or want something removed? Write to [email protected].
Visiting this page
We count page visits and which buttons are clicked, using PostHog, hosted in the EU. No cookies are set, nothing is stored on your device and your IP address is anonymised. We do not build a profile of you. Requests pass through Cloudflare on their way to us; Cloudflare handles them in transit and does not keep them for us.
The Sunday Club
If you join, Mailjet (EU) keeps your email address, together with proof that you agreed: the exact consent text, where you signed up and when you confirmed. We use it only to send you SELIA's letters and news. Every email has an unsubscribe link; one click and you're off the list. Early-listen links use an anonymous code, not your email address.
Writing to SELIA
If you email SELIA, your message is stored on our mail server in the EU. To help us answer everyone, the text of your message is sent to Anthropic (USA) to prepare a draft reply. A person from Halfway Home Studio reads, edits and sends every reply; nothing is answered automatically. Anthropic does not use this to train its models, and the transfer is covered by the safeguards EU law requires, such as standard contractual clauses.
So replies can feel personal, we keep a short note per fan with things you tell us yourself, like the name you go by, your city, your birthday, your favourite song or news you shared. We never note sensitive things such as health, religion, politics, your address or phone number. The note is deleted whenever you ask. If you haven't written to SELIA for almost two years, she emails you first: one click keeps your note for another two years, another click deletes it straight away, and if you do nothing it disappears about a month later.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we have about you, or object to it, by emailing [email protected]. We sign up fans on the basis of their consent, and we keep fan notes and answer emails on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to you. If you think we got something wrong, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
